The MIT Chapel (1956) is a non-denominational chapel designed by noted architect Eero Saarinen. It is located on the campus of the MIT in Cambridge, Massachusetts. The Chapel is often noted as a successful example of mid-century modern architecture in the United States.
The MIT chapel was study at site and construction drawings were formulated by observation. A construction model at 1:1 scale was there after constructed to understand assemblage detail at scale.
